In celebration of World Environment Day, 5thf of June, our dedicated volunteer teams from both MHV and Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, came together for a meaningful and impactful initiative: cleaning up our beautiful beach.
With the incredible support of the SeaWorld Diving Adventures School and the Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative, we embarked on an ambitious beach clean-up project that underscored our commitment to environmental stewardship.
🌊 Beach Clean-Up: Armed with gloves, bags, and plenty of enthusiasm, our team scoured the shore, collecting litter and debris. Each piece of trash we removed was a step closer to a cleaner, healthier beach.
🌊 Underwater Clean-Up: Thanks to the skilled divers from SeaWorld Diving Adventures, we also tackled the sea floor, removing submerged debris that harms marine life.
The collective efforts of the Parklane Volunteer Team, in collaboration with SeaWorld Diving Adventures School, resulted in the removal of 52 kg of garbage -12 kg from the sea floor and 40 kg from the beach. This achievement highlights the significant impact that small actions can have when we work together.
As we reflect on this successful initiative, we are reminded of the importance of taking continuous steps toward a greener, cleaner planet. Happy World Environment Day!
